Laura Turner, a Southerner deep down in her soul, has lived on the West Coast for almost forty years. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee but left before her psyche was irrevocably formed.

Now, Laura lives with her long-time partner and friend, Chris, on the western slope of a semi-active volcano called Mount Shasta.

Waking up to this sight every morning is pretty inspiring.
