Pains in the head, are broken down by medical experts into various categories with their accompanying definitions, as if the mere act of defining and categorizing them can resolve the pain.
Anyone who suffers from headaches, though, will tell you that having a name for his or her headache does not lessen the pain. It takes getting to the true cause in the mind body spirit to accomplish that feat.
That is how the Yuen Method works, on the mind body spirit, and it stands on its results.
As far as categories go, modern medicine finds more all the time: There are cluster headaches, migraines, tension headaches, hormone headaches, sinus headaches, concentration disorder headaches, too much sun headaches, bipolar headaches and so on. Traditional medical explanations include stress, lack of sleep, overeating, excessive drinking, too much noise, prescription drug side effects and allergens.
Medically, it has also been noted that susceptibility to migraines tends to run in families, which prompts many ‘experts’ to claim that genetics are involved. Woe to those who can’t escape their genetic programming!
Let me offer a better approach to the resolution of pain in the head. I have taken it directly from Dr. Kam Yuen’s book Yuen Energetics.
Pain in the head, Dr. Yuen explains, can be the result of previous injuries and traumas or poison/toxicity. Dr. Yuen’s method treats cluster headaches by testing for multiples of past traumas to the head, face and neck. He also resolves the possible triggering effects caused by events, sights sounds or smells that set off the painful reactions in the head.
Sometimes it is the triggers that bring up past phobias and fears, as well as other unpleasant memories and/or experiences that occurred at certain times of the year, month or season. When Dr. Yuen needs to be specific to resolve pain, there is no one who can pinpoint the exact effect like he can. Period. His expertise at getting to the root of headache pain is renowned.
When headaches are accompanied by nausea, dizziness and vomiting, for example, Dr. Yuen often finds weakening effects in the spinal cord that might be affecting the circulatory factors (arteries and venous blood flow, lymphatic drainage and energy flows). For dizziness, he tests for weaknesses in the hyoid bone, cerebellum and the ears, especially in relation to the Central Nervous System.
